In 2015 the charity applied for funding to assist with a technology programme, particularly with the aim of teaching older people to use a tablet to send emails, use Skype and access mainstream services. One member of the group commented: ‘Skype gave me the chance to talk to my grandchildren in Australia when they were getting ready for school – it felt amazing to feel part of the family again.’
